This activity includes 2-hours of live lecture and 1-hour of hands-on immunization administration training. Upon completion of this training, participants will be prepared to provide immunizations at their place of employment based on federal and state law, the scope of practice, and requirements of supervision. Supplementary home-study courses are available for pharmacy technicians that require more than 3 hours of CPE to provide immunizations in their specific state.
This training program will prepare pharmacy technicians to effectively administer immunizations and will improve their knowledge base regarding immunizations. This training will also provide important immunization-related updates for participating pharmacists and other health care providers with a refresher on administration technique.
